Darwin Day is a celebration to commemorate the birth anniversary of Charles Darwin on 12 February 1809. The day is used to highlight Darwin's contribution to science. Students of Class V-A presented an Assembly on the topic ‘Darwin Day’. The students depicted the theory of natural selection, evolution, adaptation and survival of the fittest through a skit. The message conveyed was ‘Adaptation is very important for survival in all ways; emotionally, physically and socially.’ The assembly concluded with a foot tapping song.
