KNOWING YOURSELF IS THE BEGINNING OF ALL WISDOM.

KNOWING YOURSELF IS THE BEGINNING OF ALL WISDOM. A session on Self-awareness and self-discipline was conducted for the boys and girls of Class IV- V, separately by the Counsellor Ms Paridhi and Head Mistress Ms. Namrata on July 12, 2024. Emphasis was given to develop self-awareness through skills like self-reflection, meaning-making, and the process of honing core values and beliefs. Counsellor Ms. Paridhi spoke to attend to their intellectual, emotional, social, and physical selves. Children were told that self-awareness can lead to gratitude, hope, optimism, mindfulness, wisdom, and many other internal strengths that enrich their lives. Later on, discussion was done on respecting each and every individual, each other’s thoughts and also the belongings. No touch policy to be followed by everyone. Students were made aware how to walk or sit, about dressing sense, and also to share about daily routine with parents and teachers.

Investiture Ceremony & Foundation Day @ SPSSN

Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, celebrated its 24th Foundation day along with the much awaited Investiture Ceremony on 1st of July, 2024. the event was graced by the Chief guest , Mr. Prasenjit Mund, The Resident Editor, Times of India, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and Special Guest, Mr. Ayan Jain, UPSC CSE AIR 16. The distinguished guests were welcomed with saplings . The ceremony began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp . The Principal administered the oath to the newly elected student council members, emphasizing the school's motto of "learning through involvement" and encouraging their sincere dedication and also highlighted the responsibilities the student council members must assume, including being exemplary in behavior, working with sincerity, and creating a culture of compassion and reverence. The Chief Guest anointed badges to the student council office bearers and stressed the importance of discipline for students, urging them to maintain a disciplined approach in their academic and personal lives. He also encouraged teachers to be innovative in their teaching methods to foster an environment of creativity and continuous learning. The special guest through his speech encouraged the council members to lead by example and transmit perseverance, patriotism and punctuality to other students to make everyone successful. Meritorious students of Classes XI and XII were felicitated with cash prizes for their outstanding results in the 2023-24 session. The program also featured a fusion dance performance and a melodious song by the school choir. The Head Boy and the Head Girl, proposed the vote of thanks, and the ceremony concluded with the school anthem. The Foundation Day and Investiture Ceremony fostered a sense of community, responsibility and environmental consciousness that will continue to resonate in the hearts of the audience present there.

On June 26, 2024 the students of Classes III- V of Sagar Public school, Saket Nagar, participated in two activities designed to stimulate their creative and artistic potential: ARTESANIA, a coloring activity for class III students, and WALL MAGAZINE, drawing your imagination for class IV–V . The students produced wonderful artwork by showcasing their artistic abilities in drawing and coloring. They acquired the skill and enjoyed drawing to convey their opinions. Little Sagarites joined school after summer vacations @SPS SN.

On June 19, 2024, the school once again came alive as the little ones from Nursery - III joined their older counterparts. As soon as the children entered the school gates, a special touch was waiting for them. The children were welcomed with warm smiles and gentle encouragement. Simple and attractive activities were planned. Songs and poems echoed through the classroom, making each moment a joyful learning experience. The playground echoed with the laughter of small children. It was a memorable day for the Nursery children as they painted their little hands with colors and inscribed in their picture books. At the end of the day, they not only promised of academic growth and personal growth but also the warmth of belongingness.

A Series of Career Counselling sessions has been started on April 03, 2024 at Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Bhopal with the first session for the students of Class XI, Humanities and Commerce. National trip at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Mussoorie

National trip at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Mussoorie Students of Classes VIII and IX were taken to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Mussoorie from March 14, 2024 to March 20, 2024 on national trip. The journey commenced from Bhopal Station on March 14, 2024 at 8:40 PM, and the students arrived in Haridwar the following day. They engaged in various cultural and spiritual experiences, including a visit to the Mansa Devi Temple and witnessing the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at Har ki Paudi. The exploration continued on the subsequent day with a visit to Rishikesh, where the students had the opportunity to traverse the iconic Janki Jhula, explore the serene Ganga Ghats, and absorb the spiritual ambiance of Parmarth Yog Ashram. Following lunch, they visited the Bharat Mata Temple and indulged in a refreshing time at Har Ki Paudi. Transitioning to Mussoorie on the following day, the students explored the scenic beauty of the hill station. They immersed themselves in the local culture through shopping experiences on Mall Road and exhilarating rides on the Ropeway, concluding the day with a delightful dinner at the hotel. The adventure continued with a visit to the majestic Kempty Falls, offering the students an opportunity to unwind and revel in nature's splendor. After lunch, they boarded the train from Haridwar to Bhopal, concluding the journey on March 20, 2024 laden with cherished memories. "In the journey of education, every excursion is a chapter worth cherishing." 114 students of Class XI and 11 teachers went on a National trip to Mumbai, Mahabaleshwar, and Panchgani from March 15, 2024 to March 21, 2024. Enriching their minds and souls, the students began their odyssey at the serene shores of Juhu Beach, where the morning breeze whispered tales of boundless possibilities. The iconic Gateway of India stood as a testament to Mumbai's rich history, captivating the young minds with its majestic allure. Nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes, the tranquil abode of Panchgani welcomed the travelers, offering respite in the embrace of nature's bounty. Here, the students paid homage to spirituality at the Mahabaleshwar Temple, and beheld the panoramic vistas from Tabletop View Point, Kate's Point, Elphinstone Point and Arthur's Seat etching memories of awe and wonder. The visit to the Mapro Juice Factory and Cheese Factory unveiled the intricate artistry behind delectable delights, igniting curiosity and appreciation among the young learners. Throughout the trip, students developed bonds of camaraderie and shared experiences that will be cherished for a lifetime. Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Bhopal organised its Graduation Ceremony at the school campus on March 6, 2024. The event marks a significant milestone in a child's educational journey, celebrating the transition from early childhood to elementary school.The program was graced by Dr. Sapna Bajaj, a senior, extremely committed gynaecologist of the city as Chief Guest. She has over 25 years of experience in training and practice. Currently, she is working at the Sagar Multispeciality Hospital, Bhopal. The ceremony included various performances and presentations showcasing the talents of the young graduates. About 100 participants performed on the stage. The program began with the invocation of the Goddess Saraswati, followed by a classical dance performance by the little Sagarites. The students unfolded their exciting sports story which includes javelin throw, zumba, basketball drill and calisthenics. They also presented a melodious song which surely touched the depths of everyone's hearts. The little Sagarites recited lovely poems and also presented a breath-taking Spanish dance. They spoke about their interesting journey in the Pre-primary section. The certificates were awarded to the graduates. As the tiny hands reach for the stars and tiny hearts beat with excitement, we bless them for a bright future

The purpose of this competition is to make a deep understanding of the concept and the interconnection between various characters which help us to learn values, enhance our ethical standards and create our interest for doing good for the society. Characters were picked up from the EVS book “LOOKING AROUND US”. It was conducted on February 07, 2024 in Sagar Public School , Saket Nagar, The participants of class III- V shared their thoughts about the renowned personalities from which they were inspired. Judges gave their insightful comments to enhance the participant's presentation and enrich their comprehension. Judges round was the most appreciable round were participants answered the questions asked by Judges. Overall it was a very good learning experience for students.

An ASPIRE visit to Jaipur Literature Festival was organized for the students of Classes VIII, IX & XI

“Books are the carriers of civilization. Without books, history is silent, literature dumb, science crippled, thought and speculation at a standstill.” Twenty students of classes VIII, IX and XI from Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar attended Jaipur Literature Fest at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur from February 02, 2024 to February 05, 2024. The 17th edition of the fest was based on the theme 'Stories Unite Us' and hosted about 230 plus speakers, authors, poets, thinkers, humanitarians, musicians, politicians, journalists and popular cultural icons representing 21 Indian and international languages as well as major awards such as the Nobel, the Booker Prize, the Pulitzer Prize and the Sahitya Akademi Award. The literature enthusiasts of SPS SN became a party to the 'greatest literary show on the Earth' that welcomed over millions of book lovers from across India and the globe. The festival was a magnificent feast of ideas for the students as they listened to the various intriguing panel discussions by the eminent speakers, witnessed mesmerising musical concerts by the most celebrated artists and visited the grand bookstore brimming with books on different genres by prominent writers. Engaging sessions were held on various burning issues and the topics of diverse interests like The value system in India, Pain of partition in Gulzar Saab’s poems, The future of Indian business and enterprise, need to conserve environment, history, religion and many more. The students got the opportunity to meet and interact with the renowned authors, had the books signed by them and their photographs clicked with them. Celebrating Republic Day with pride in the spirit of the Indian Constitution, Sagar Public School Saket Nagar joyously observed the occasion on 26.01.2024. The esteemed Director, Mr. K.K. The day commenced with a grand opening ceremony, featuring the Sports Pledge, Flag Hoisting, Balloon release Students were in their house uniform of teams adorned in their respective colors. The Principal's inspiring address set the tone for the day, emphasizing the values of sportsmanship and teamwork. Torch run by students who participated in National Sports events in different games and sports and Mass Demonstration by the students of Classes III-V, were the highlight of the event. Timeless Treasure | The Jr. Annual Function, 2023 @ SPS SN

The Annual Cultural Extravaganza of Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar commenced with great zest, vibrancy and elation on September 16, 2023. Renowned child psychologist of Bhopal, Dr. Anuradha Kushwaha graced the occasion as the chief guest. Over 500 students of Pre-Primary section participated in various performances staged during the function. The theme of this year’s Annual function was “Timeless Treasure”. The program began with the lighting of lamp and invocation of Goddess Saraswati by the honourable chief guest and other dignitaries. A soulful rendition was given by the students of class KG -II as the welcome song to mark the celebration of childhood. The highlight of the function was the skit on healthy choices. The children also presented dance forms of various countries as well as India and depicted that childhood is universal. The performances were breath taking and infused a sense of excitement among the parents and other spectators. An impressive programme was organized at Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, to celebrate the birth anniversary of an unparalleled sports legend and hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand, as National Sports Day on August 29, 2023. Senior athletic coach from Sport Authority of India (SAI), Mr Manoj Kumar was present as the chief guest on the occasion. To unleash the creativity and imagination of the students, Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, organised a Poetry Slam for students of Class XI. The participants presented their compositions under the guidance of their English teachers. SPS alumni, Ms Pragya Sharma and Mr Shourya Shrivastava were the jury members, along with the HOD English department, Ms Sunita Sharma, and the Head Mistress, Ms Deepa Nainan. Ms Pragya and Mr Shourya addressed the students and inspired them to develop an interest in literature. The participants were judged on the basis of their creativity, vocal strength, articulation and overall performance. Nandani Pare of XI B bagged the first position. Sai Swarupa of XI E stood second, and Priyanshi Singh of XI G secured third place. An engaging and interactive session was conducted by Mr. Dheeraj Sharma, an aptitude trainer and motivational speaker. Students were informed about contemporary and new age career options available after standard XII, skill based careers, and tips and tricks to crack competitive exams like CUET, SAT, CLAT, NDA, UCEED, JEE etc. They also learnt about 21st century skills required to excel in professional life. Students also had one-on-one interaction with the representatives from various renowned universities and got to know about the admission criteria over there. To imbibe the true spirit of learning in students an Inter-House English Quiz Competition was organized in the presence of a joyful and electrifying audience in the school auditorium for Classes VI-VII on April 26, 2023. The quiz tested knowledge of the genre, figures of speech, grammar, vocabulary and eminent authors. The competition was intended to build and hone the thinking and analyzing skills of the students. Introductory PTM of academic session 2023-24, for Classes Nursery-XII, was conducted at Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar on Friday, April 21, 2023, with a goal of bringing parents and teachers together to identify a student's strengths and weaknesses, develop a plan of action to strengthen those weaknesses, identify any potential amplifying or impediments to the student's learning, and become a united support system to help the student become their best academic self. Teachers discussed with the parents the ways by which they can help their wards to excel in various scholastic and co-scholastic activities. The Annual Exhibition - "Spectrum 2023"

Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar, Bhopal conducted its annual exhibition, "Spectrum 2023" on April 15, 2023. The event showcases students' talent for creativity and innovation. Spectrum focuses on promoting experiential learning, research skills, collaborative learning and team work. Students from Class VI to Class X participated in it. Students prepared projects and presentations on all subjects including computer and ATL. The elite panel of judges consisted of eminent subject experts and also senior students of class XII. The theme for presentation ranged from G20, Go Green to art integration in subjects. Students showcased projects on sustainable development, innovative working models on poly house farming, energy conservation devices, solar power projects, garbage treatment plant for non bio degradable materials. There were beautiful displays in languages on musical instruments, poems, non fictional writing and audio visual newspaper. The students enthusiastically presented their work and expertly answered the questions posed by judges. The event provided an excellent opportunity application and skill based learning.

Travel makes you realize that no matter how much you know, there’s always more to learn. National Educational tour for the students of Class XI, 2022-23 was organized @ Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar. Students visited Ahmedabad city and – Statue of Unity- Vadodara. Students visited many places in Ahmedabad on day one including Science City, ISKON temple and Kankariya lake. On the day two students visited historical monument "Rani ki Vav". They felt enriched after knowing the history behind it. Akshardham Temple was a great spiritual experience for the students. The Light and sound show at the temple premises added to this wonderful experience. On the day three students visited Kamati Bagh, Gandhi Ashram and proceeded towards Kavadiya Vadodara. The weather was pleasant and beautiful.Students visited Statue of Unity where they saw the world's tallest statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Later they also had an experience to know the maratha royalty by visiting Lakshmi Villace Palace (Vadodara) built by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III. Overall, the trip ended with beautiful lifelong memories which students and teachers will cherish forever.

They also attended a special Life skill session on communication skill. Few sports stations were made, were they actively participated and enjoyed various sports activities. Annual Function 2022-23 - "Virtuous Assets"

Amidst glittering lights and a myriad of hues, the 20th Annual Function of Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar was held on November 19, 2022, with the theme "Virtuous Assets." The students showcased performances venerating the seven virtues of life - faith, hope, prudence, charity, courage, justice, and temperance. They reveal it" In recognition of the importance of sports in one’s life, the students and teachers of Sagar Public School, Saket Nagar celebrated "National Sports Day" to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand on August 29, 2022. The Sports department organised a short programme during morning assembly to mark the occasion. Principal Ms. Pankaj Sharma, Respected Shri K K Dubey Sir, HOD Sports Mr. Surajbhan along with other sports teachers paid floral tributes to Major Dhyan Chand.
